She's BA-ACK!!!

Well, sorta.

I am still here, at least. I haven't given up on the book, I just haven't been able to write this month. And then this weekend, I was all geared up to write, but I got into a looong-needed spring cleaning project and it took way more time than I expected. So, no writing. But I have reclaimed the spare bedroom! And I am thinking about the story a lot again and excited to get new words on paper.

I do hope to at least work on and post the April exercise while it is still, y'know...April. 12 hours and counting, hehe.

Then it looks like another forced hiatus through next week.

Oh, that reminds me: I have a kinda cool announcement. I've been chosen (after taking the online contestant test) to audtion for Jeopardy! That's next week (Thursday, the 10th) and I haven't studied AT ALL. I have to play a mock game and take another written test, as well as do a personal interview. I won't find out if they want me on the show for a while. But still!

So the rest of this week and next will be for boning up on my world capitols and leaders, pop culture, and random trivia on small, Eastern European countries. I should be good if they ask science questions or anything about Scottish history! Wish me luck!

Bleh.

Yeah, I'm still here and no, I haven't given up on the book. But after my last post (in which I made excuses for not having been productive) I have been distracted by researching and purchasing a new minivan (because mine was old and falling apart) and new car seats for the baby boy (who is an almost-toddler now and ready for more room). Then I got sick. But I'll try to get back on track tonight or soon. The April X is finally up, and that may motivate me to get a new good scene down. Here's hoping.

Productivity? Productivity? Where?

Yeah.

I was going to write quite a bit last week. I was going to finish chapters 2 and 3 by the end of the month. But, as usual, life intervened and...not so much.

Massive amounts of overtime/late nights at work last week, plus a long-overdue "date night" with DH on friday and my grandma's 85th birthday party on Saturday all conspired to keep me away from the computer.

The problem was compounded by my picking up The Taste of Night on Thursday and having the book EAT MY BRAIN. I told Vicki my lack of productivity at work on Friday was all her fault. *g* But can I just say...who called it?

*SPOILERS*

That's right - Joanna's baby was Ben's, not Joaquin's.

And now for more of Jenny's harebrained speculation... I'm looking awfully closely at Suzanne (Cher's stepmom). She's in incredibly good shape for her age. She's "running" from past issues. And she reacts (though she covers it quickly) to the comics/manuals Jo has in her bag and Cher gets into.

What do I think? And this is totally random guessing...

I think Suzanne is Zoe. Call me crazy, but it seems to fit. If that's the case, though, I don't think she knows Jo is now Olivia. I think she thinks (correctly) that Jo was hidden after the incident in Olivia's apartment and didn't really die, but she also doesn't realize that Olivia did.

Okay, randomness over. Guess it'll be a while before I can know if I'm right. Which is a shame, 'cause I'm kind of addicted now. *g*

Anyway, I'm eyeing tomorrow as the beginning of another big writing push. JoB has said the April exercise (it might be up; I haven't checked yet) will be showing a character's reaction to a shocking revelation. I know exactly what that will be, so the X will be good motivation to get that scene written.
